- A list of all the Speech & Drama Classes, with age groups, titles of set pieces, entry fees
- A list of the Creative Writing Classes
- A list of the Music Classes
- General rules for the Festival
- Specific rules for the Speech & Drama/Creative Writing classes
- Specific rules for Music classes
- A list of the adjudicators (not biographies)
- Names and addresses of the administrators
- Entry forms
- A provisional timetable for the Festival
The Syllabus is available in pdf format or a printed version from the General Secretary, price £1.50 including postage gen.sec@midsomersetfestival.org.uk
The Programme is published a week or so before the Festival, price £3.00, or by post £4.00 and contains the following information:
- Biographies of the adjudicators
- Exact timing and location of classes
- Names of all competitors within each class
- Names of the trophies to be awarded to each class
- Details of the two concerts
