The Creative Writing classes have an enthusiastic following from schools, private individuals and creative writing groups. Our professional adjudicators provide positive and constructive feedback to our participants.

Entries are submitted in January and assessed by the adjudicator in advance of the Creative Writing day which will takes place on the middle Saturday of the Festival. All entrants are invited to attend and present their work, with the adjudicator then commenting and making the awards. Many of the winning entries are published by the local newspaper.

We aim to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where our writers can share their own work and support the creativity of others.
