Making music together is the life blood of learning to play, and our Festival seeks to provide as many opportunities as possible for group performance.

The first Saturday morning of Music Week is long established as a special occasion - Chamber Music and Ensembles in the Georgian splendour of the Banqueting Room of Bath's Guildhall. The Mid-Somerset Festival has benefitted from some memorable performances over the years, not least when we were joined by not one but a team of four adjudicators in the form of the Doric String Quartet!

Classes are offered in 3 age groups: Year 8 and under, Year 11 and under, Year 13 and under.

Chamber Music Trio - Nonets, a separate String Quartet class etc."Ensemble" implies more than one player to a part, and may be conducted.

All classes offer free choice of pieces.
