Senior Bands Festival (up to Year 13)

Classes for Wind Bands, Swing Bands and other bands.

Some classes are hotly contested between local schools, but there is also on offer the non-competitive ‘Showcase’ class providing the opportunity to demonstrate what your school enjoys doing well - in 2009 for example we were delightfully entertained by the Beechen Cliff School Folk Group. Anything goes! This class is Open to all ages. It will also feature the best performances from the Blues Jam morning.

Junior Bands and Orchestras Festival

Friday evening, 19 March 2010, Guildhall Banqueting Room

A really varied evening of classes for younger players (for Years 8 and below), with the emphasis on a festival performance rather than competition.

We welcome school groups, and also area bands and orchestras who would find coming in school time difficult. Classes range from Chamber Music to larger scale ensembles.

The Junior Showcase class is non-competitive and provides the opportunity to demonstrate what your school enjoys doing well, be it African drumming, folk music, Blues Band etc.
