The Creative Writing classes have an enthusiastic following from schools, private individuals and creative writing groups. Our professional adjudicators provide positive and constructive feedback to our participants.

Entries are submitted in January and assessed by the adjudicator in advance of the Creative Writing day which takes place on the first Saturday of the Festival. All entrants are invited to attend and present their work, with the adjudicator then commenting and making the awards. Many of the winning entries are published by the local newspaper.

We aim to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where our writers can share their own work and support the creativity of others.

2010 promises to be another exciting year for our Creative Writing Classes. We have managed to persuade the well-known and very successful writer from Bath - Debby Holt - to adjudicate and assess our entries and join us on our Creative Writing Day. Debby has not been with us before and we look forward to introducing her to you. So, we hope to have a packed house again in March with some new talent to spur on our seasoned writers.
